LT R23-28 Disc -700C Carbon Rim Ultralight with IW/Depth 23/28mm
Two versions could be chosen: Flyweight Version: 245g+/-15 & Standard Version: 265g +/-15
1.Lightweight Performance
On long climbs with an average gradient of over 8%, the small energy savings from a lightweight rim with each pedal stroke can eventually add up to valuable seconds that can make a difference in race results. Specifically designed for climbing-focused and all-round road riders, the R23-28 rim features a 23mm internal width and 28mm rim depth. After continuous research, development, and iterative testing, we offer two refined weight options: An ultra-light version weighing 250±10 g, with a 100 kg maximum rider weight limit, and a standard version weighing 265±10 g, with a 130 kg maximum rider weight limit. This hooked-bead rim is available in a 20-hole configuration and has passed a 95J professional impact test. 2.23mm Internal Width---A Win-Win Combination of Comfort and Low Rolling Resistance
A 23mm internal width represents a mainstream benchmark for modern high-performance road wheelsets. Optimized for 28C tires, this rim creates an aerodynamic synergy with the tire, forming a smoother transition between the rim and tire that helps reduce air turbulence and drag. The wider rim profile allows the tire to expand fully and maintain its ideal rounded shape, enabling safe riding at lower pressures. Riders can run 5–10 PSI lower tire pressure compared with traditional narrow rims. This setup efficiently dissipates high-frequency road micro-vibrations, helping reduce hand numbness and saddle fatigue while delivering superior comfort during long-distance endurance rides.
3.28mm Rim Depth---A Lightweight All-Round Performer
The moderate 28mm rim depth balances lightweight construction with responsive acceleration, making it an ideal choice for routes requiring frequent speed changes and dynamic riding. Its slim frontal area provides excellent crosswind stability, minimizing wind interference on long descents and coastal roads. Riders can focus fully on line control and pedaling instead of constantly correcting their steering against crosswinds, greatly improving riding stability and confidence.

4. Integrated Molding Hole Technology & Graded Carbon Fiber Layup
The R23-28 adopts advanced one-piece integrated spoke-hole molding technology. Unlike conventional carbon rims that have spoke holes drilled after molding — a process that cuts carbon fibers and can compromise structural integrity — our custom mold forms spoke holes during initial production. The continuous carbon-fiber layout helps preserve structural strength and crack resistance.
This integrated spoke-hole structure delivers superior tensile strength at the spoke holes, exceeding 300kgf in professional testing. In extreme destructive tests, the spokes break first while the rim holes remain intact, demonstrating that the hole structure far exceeds the spoke tension limits in terms of durability and tear resistance.
The embedded nipple design ensures full contact and uniform stress distribution across the hole surface, improving long-term durability. Precisely pre-angled hole positioning aligns the spokes, nipples and rim holes in a straight line after installation. Straight force transmission reduces diagonal torsion and uneven stress distribution, delivering smoother and more stable riding performance.
Tiered Carbon Fiber Layup(T700+T800+T1000)
T700 — Reliable Foundation. T700 carbon forms the base structure, providing balanced toughness, impact resistance and ductility. Its excellent elongation properties help prevent brittle fracture under heavy impact, making the rim durable and forgiving on rough roads. The T700 base layer provides compliant vibration damping, helping avoid overly stiff and harsh road feedback, making it ideal for long-distance rides and complex road conditions.
T800 — Rigid Performance. Booster T800 carbon is strategically laid at key stress-bearing areas with precise angles and layer counts. During hard sprinting, climbing and high-speed cornering, T800 carbon minimizes rim deformation, ensures direct power transmission, reduces brake rub, and delivers sharp, responsive acceleration.
T1000 — Top-Level Competition-Grade Reinforcement. As aerospace-grade premium carbon fiber, T1000 is selectively applied as reinforced patches at peak stress points, including spoke hole load zones and rim joint areas. Offering 15%–20% higher tensile strength than T800, T1000 helps restrict crack propagation under extreme impacts, serving as a final reinforcement against rim damage at high speeds and on bumpy roads.
Delivering effortless climbing, stable descents in crosswinds, and vibration-free cruising, the R23-28 pursues well-balanced all-round performance. It never sacrifices low weight for extreme aerodynamics, nor does it compromise handling for ultra-light performance. It is the worry-free ideal choice for road cycling enthusiasts, amateur racers, and long-distance challenge riders.
